Sales Representative

Our client in the FMCG environment is looking for a Sales Representative. The successful candidate will be responsible for seeking new sales opportunities and grow the company by bringing in new customers.
Duties (Key Areas of Responsibility):
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business by using cold calling techniques
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce or MS CRM or particularly MS Excel)
  • Create new business ideas and sales techniques to help drive the business forward
  • Conduct environmental scanning, organizational effectiveness, and competitor and market analysis
  • Meet sales targets as set and agreed with Sales Manager
  • Build up a better customer relationship, understand their needs, and try to make them satisfied without compromising the company profits
  • Represent the company’s business policies in various conferences, trade fairs, and networking events to attract more clients
  • Establish performance goals for each sales area and monitor set goals and objectives

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proven work experience in sales
  • Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive level
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the informal sales trade in the Western Cape
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • FMCG Experience
