Our client in the Food & Distribution Industry, is looking to appoint an HR Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR and payroll administration.
  • Proficient in computer packages
  • Fluent English & Afrikaans written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role (HR and Payroll)
  • Experience in SAGE Payroll and ESS essential
  • Minimum HR Diploma or equivalent
  • Ecotime Time & or similar Time & Attendance Experience
  • Experience with LRA and BCEA
  • Valid code 8 driver’s license
Job responsibilities:
  • Full payroll function of wage and salary staff for a staff compliment of 240 staff
  • Ensure full statutory compliance to all labour legislation in general and in relation to employment contracts
  • Recruitment, Selection, and Induction
  • General administration related to payroll, time and attendance, skills development, and employment equity information
  • Salaries and Wages - hours calculated according to timesheets, leave allocation and deductions
  • Capturing / importing of approved employee hours to payroll system and generating transaction lists and payslips
  • Payroll reports and monthly payroll system back-ups on the 15th and 30th of each month
  • Competent in submission of EMP201 and EMP501 returns
  • Working knowledge of ETI
  • Monitor employee adherence to code of conduct and rules and follow up with managers to ensure that the relevant steps are taken to improve / enforce adherence (counselling / warnings).
  • Manage attendance, leave and staff related matters
  • Attend to staff welfare initiatives
  • Management of all aspects of WCA / COIDA administration
  • Prepare and submit EE reports annually to DOL
  • Ensure compliance with labour department regulations and audits
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with employment-related laws and regulations
  • Participate in health and safety committee activities
  • Skills development
