A global engineering company seeks the above to service pumps and blowers on site and in the company’s workshop as well as building of skid mounted systems that support the company’s product range. The successful candidate will need to contribute towards the growth of the company while in contact with customers by providing excellent technical solutions. Travel around South Africa and Africa is required at times as well as to Europe at times for training.
Minimum requirements for the role:
  • Electro-Mechanical trade (preferably a trade in Millwright).
  • At least 3 years’ experience within the Fluid Mechanics / Pumps industry or related.
  • Understand mechanical drawings.
  • Have good technical skills.
  • Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Be a team player and be deadline driven.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Able to multitask successfully.
  • Have good reporting writing skills.
  • Energetic and able to work under pressure.
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence.
  • Must have a valid passport.
  • Be willing to travel.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Installing and repairing pumps on site.
  • Assisting technicians with the diagnosis of the mechanical problems.
  • Building skids / systems precisely.
  • Sales function - Tracking previous services completed and getting customers to service again.
  • Proficiently communicate with customers, verbally and via email, daily.
  • Preparing and submitting reports for management and other administrative duties.
  • Giving accurate and constant feedback to management.
  • Building good relationships with existing and new customers and always ensuring excellent service.
