rain is looking for Business Intelligence (BI) analysts to join our Data Science Team.
Job Purpose:
The position is based at rain offices in Cape Town. The BI team plays an important role in enabling stakeholders to answer business questions, investigate issues, and gather business insight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clear, concise, accurate, high quality and timely reporting.
  • Consolidate, interpret, design, and present information/ visualizations on dashboards or reports.
  • Understand the business well and provide analytical support for various departments.
  • Apply critical and analytical thinking to deliver business insight to help drive initiatives and decisions.
  • Enhance data literacy within the organization by providing training to the various stakeholders in the organization.
  • Investigate and visualize new data as and when these are added into our data stack.
  • Evaluate new technology solutions.
  • Complete custom reporting and analyses.
  • Help the Data Science team with the preparation of board and committee reports.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years’ experience working in data analytics or data storytelling role translating data into actionable business insights.
  • 4+ years’ experience in data visualization with a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik or similar.
  • Strong SQL programming experience.
  • High level of comfort using MS Excel.
  • Good sense of visual storytelling and graph design.
  • Help the Data Science team with the preparation of board and committee reports.
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as R or Python is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of AWS is an advantage.
