About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Auto Mechanical Engineering Intern

Stipend: R7 500.00

Location: Centurion

About the role:
A Mechanical Engineer would design, develop, and maintain machinery and equipment to ensure
efficient production processes, improve product quality, and reduce downtime. They would contribute to the company's
success by increasing productivity, enhancing product reliability, reducing costs, and supporting sustainable practices. By
optimizing manufacturing operations, the Mechanical Engineer would play a crucial role in helping the company meet
customer demands, stay competitive, and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Working with convey belts and bearing
• Pressure pipes and vacuums
• Drive and Driven Gears
• Roller barrel and roller ground
• Maintenance of changing oil/ lubricating metal parts or moving gears
• Maintenance of filters (Air filter)
• Maintain transmission chain

Requirements:

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated in the YES programme before.
• Diploma or a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, and materials science.
• Strong problem-solving skills and Analytical skills.
• Good communication skills and teamwork skills.
• Ability to develop and test mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with industry, standards, and regulations.
