Cost Accountant – Manufacturing

A well-established manufacturing company in Pretoria West is looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to take ownership of production costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Minimum requirements:

• BCom Accounting / Cost & Management Accounting
• CIMA highly advantageous
• 5+ years’ Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven experience with:
  • Production costing / cost per ton
  • Inventory valuation (WAC / standard costing)
  • BOM structures & yield/process costing
  • Variance analysis
• ERP systems experience (Sage X3 / SAP or similar)
• Advanced Excel

Key responsibilities:

• Manage production costing and costing models
• Inventory valuation and stock reconciliations
• Analyse variances and identify inefficiencies
• Maintain BOMs, routings and costing structures on ERP
• Prepare production and cost reports
• Support stock control, working capital and audit requirements
