The Opportunity

An established organisation within the engineering sector is looking for a capable and hands-on Human Resources Practitioner to join its HR team.
This is a broad HR generalist role supporting the full employee lifecycle, while contributing to HR compliance, employee development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end HR support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and employee wellness.
• Ensure compliance with applicable labour legislation, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate statutory and HR compliance reports.
• Support payroll administration and maintain accurate employee records.
• Conduct salary surveys and remuneration benchmarking.
• Compile HR reports and management information for decision-making.
• Maintain confidential and accurate HR data.
• Contribute to HR process improvements and broader business initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or Business Administration.
• 2–3 years' relevant HR generalist experience.
• Proven experience delivering HR services and initiatives within a business environment.
• Experience with payroll processes and administration.
• Experience conducting salary surveys and remuneration benchmarking.
• Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR compliance, including BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA and MEIBC Main Agreement.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Excellent planning, organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
• High levels of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical ability, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience within a regulated manufacturing, aviation, engineering or similarly controlled environment will be advantageous.
