A leading private healthcare facility is seeking a dynamic and commercially astute Hospital General Manager to lead the overall performance and sustainability of the business unit.
This is a senior leadership role accountable for strategic direction, operational excellence, financial performance, stakeholder engagement and driving sustainable growth within a complex healthcare environment. Previous experience essential.

The Role

• Lead the hospital EXCO and multidisciplinary management team
• Develop and execute site strategy aligned to broader organisational objectives
• Drive financial performance, market share growth and operational sustainability
• Identify new business development opportunities and expand specialist networks
• Build and strengthen relationships with doctors, specialists and key healthcare stakeholders
• Oversee governance, compliance and regulatory alignment
• Champion transformation, inclusivity and a high-performance culture
• Drive innovation, digitisation and the implementation of modern healthcare technologies

The role requires a strong balance of commercial acumen, strategic thinking and emotionally intelligent leadership.

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) essential
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience within a hospital and/or service-related environment
• Demonstrated ability to grow market share and achieve financial targets
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capability
• Sound financial and business management knowledge
• In-depth understanding of the healthcare legislative and regulatory environment
