Financial Manager (Manufacturing)
๐ Gauteng
๐ผ Strategic | Commercial | High-Impact Role
Let’s be honest — most Financial Manager roles promise “strategic exposure” and then hand you month-end and spreadsheets.
This one is different.
We’re partnering with a high-volume manufacturing business where finance sits at the
core of decision-making, not on the sidelines. Reporting directly to the CFO, you’ll take ownership of cost, margin, and performance across the entire operation — influencing everything from product pricing to operational efficiency.
This role is for someone who is both
technically strong and commercially sharp.
You’ll likely have:
- CIMA (ACMA/CGMA) — essential
- 5–10 years post-qualification experience
- Solid experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment - ESSENTIAL
Why this role stands out
- You’ll own the costing engine of the business — not just report on it
- Direct exposure to the CFO and executive decision-making
- A genuine opportunity to drive margin, not just measure it
- Work closely with operations, supply chain, and sales
- High visibility role with real influence across the group
What you’ll be doing
This is a
broad Financial Management role with a strong focus on costing and commercial finance within a manufacturing environment.
You’ll:
- Take full ownership of the standard costing model and BOM integrity
- Lead manufacturing variance analysis and translate it into clear business actions
- Drive cost optimisation initiatives across materials, labour, and overheads
- Partner with Sales & Operations on pricing and RFQ processes
- Deliver product profitability insights to guide strategy
- Oversee management accounts, reporting, and forecasting
- Strengthen inventory controls and financial governance
- Act as finance lead on ERP optimisation and process improvements
- Partner with the CFO on financial modelling, strategic initiatives, and performance reporting
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team

The kind of person who thrives here
- You don’t just report numbers — you challenge them
- You’re comfortable engaging with non-financial stakeholders
- You enjoy getting into the detail but can zoom out strategically
- You’re driven by improvement, not maintenance
- You can handle pressure and multiple priorities
What’s in it for you
