Financial Accountant

You’ll join a dynamic manufacturing business where finance is not just about reporting — it’s about driving efficiency, strengthening controls, and partnering with operations.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the full finance function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement:

• Oversee daily financial processing across creditors, debtors, payroll, receipts and payments
• Prepare and review monthly financial accounts and management reports
• Lead financial audit processes across group entities
• Strengthen and maintain financial controls and systems
• Manage inventory controls, stock counts, and related financial risks
• Support budgeting and provide meaningful financial insights
• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, tax regulations (VAT, income tax, payroll taxes) and reporting requirements
• Work closely with ERP systems (Evolution) to optimise finance processes
• Drive ongoing improvements across finance operations
• Identify risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement

What we’re looking for

• BCom Accounting / Finance (essential)
• Completed SAICA articles
• CTA / Honours (advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years post-articles experience
• Strong preference for manufacturing industry exposure

Your experience includes

• Financial reporting and month-end processes
• Audit co-ordination and compliance
• Inventory and stock control in a manufacturing environment
• Budgeting and management reporting
• ERP systems (Evolution highly advantageous)
• Advanced Excel and exposure to BI tools
