Our client in the Agriculture/FMCG sector seeks to employ a Farm Manager with Citrus experience, to be based at their operations in Kirkwood.
Duties:
- Fertilizer program, application, stocks and timing
- Chemical program, application, stock and timing
- Yield estimates
- Fruit harvest - Timing, staff and equipment
- Irrigation - Moisture control, scheduling, ordering of water and maintenance of equipment
- Health and Safety
- Pruning plan and execution
- Budgets
- General farm operations, herbicide, bush cutting, road maintenance
- Head count
- All equipment and collaboration with maintenance department
- Agricultural degree / diploma is highly advantageous but not a requirement
- 5 + years’ experience in a supervisory position on farm
- Citrus farming experience (lemons, oranges etc) – this is non-negotiable
- Computer literate
- Must be willing to live in Addo
