Our client in Brooklyn, Cape Town is seeking a talented Creative Designer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a Matric qualification and 2-3 years of experience in a marketing role, either digital or traditional. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is essential, while experience with After Effects and WordPress will be a plus. A solid understanding of social media and its marketing strategies, combined with a keen eye for design principles—including layout, color, contrast, typography, scale, and composition—is crucial for success in this role.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a marking role (digital or traditional)
  • Excellent self-management and time management
  • Good communication skills to accurately convey your concepts to management and team members
  • Enthusiasm for being a part of a fast-moving Information Technology and Audio-Visual Solutions environment and a passion for design
  • Key software capabilities include Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects would be advantageous
  • WordPress experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, not limited to but including layout, color, contrast, typography, scale, and composition
  • Excellent understanding of digital design best practices. Understanding of print best practices is advantageous
  • Have a strong, well-rounded portfolio that showcases your individual design aesthetic
  • Have an on-trend, collection of design references on platforms such as Behance and/or Pinterest and/or Instagram.
  • Good understanding of social media and social media marketing
 
DUTIES:
  • Create concepts based on brand strategy, brief and insights
  • Consistently delivering work on time, without sacrificing attention to detail
  • Adhere to brand identity and guidelines
  • Collaborate effectively with peers in the design and marketing team
  • Work on multiple briefs at the same time
  • Develop work, iterate, prepare mock-ups and present work
  • Implementing and delivering on feedback accurately and gain approval from senior management and peers
  • Adapt and roll out approved concepts to various media
  • Generating sales PDFs highlighting specific products
  • Working with the graphics team and external agencies to produce marketing assets like mailers, posters, pull-up banners, t-shirts, etc.
  • Assisting the Sales Team and Marketing with the setting up, running and attending of Events
  • Make sure artwork is correct and supplied in the right formats and sizes before being supplied to go-live or print
  • Adhere to team processes and quality standards
HOURS:
  • Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
