Our client in Retreat, Cape Town is seeking a Senior Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a Matric qualification and at least 2 years of experience as an Administrator, preferably within the metal industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential, while familiarity with Lariat "AMPLO" and SimplePay is advantageous. A strong knowledge of metal is non-negotiable, as is having a valid driver’s license and own transport. Additionally, the successful applicant must be bilingual (English and Afrikaans), with proficiency in Xhosa considered a significant advantage.

REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Matric
  • 2 years 'experience as an Administrator
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required, with experience in Lariat "AMPLO" and SimplePay considered advantageous
  • Experience working in the metal industry
  • Metal knowledge(Non-negotiable)
  • Valid drivers and own transport (Non-negotiable)
  • Must be bilingual in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa an advantage)
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent numeracy skills, and the ability to work independently
 
DUTIES:
 
Basic Bookkeeping:
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate financial records and managing daily transactions.
 
Price Management:
  • Skilled in updating and managing pricing systems to ensure accuracy. Experience with Lariat “AMPLO” system will be advantageous.
 
Invoicing:
  • Experienced in preparing and issuing invoices promptly.
 
Cash Management:
  • Ensure daily float balances are accurate and reconciled at day end.
 
Purchase Order Management:
  • Monitor and correlate purchase orders with cash flow requirements.
 
Customer Relations:
  • Effectively address customer inquiries and resolved issues.
 
Staff Management:
  • Maintain and update staff lists and records diligently.
 
Payroll Administration:
  • Responsible for processing payroll and ensuring timely payments. Experience with SimplePay will be advantageous.
 
Leave Management:
  • Update and track staff leave records accurately.
 
HOURS:
  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 14:00
  • Must be flexible if needed for a full day - Starting hours could be 7:30/8:00. End of day could be 17:00
