A car rental company based in Cape Town is seeking a professional and service-driven Customer Service Agent to join their team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting clients with vehicle bookings, check-outs, check-ins, vehicle handovers, administration, and ensuring all vehicles are presented to a high standard.
Requirements:
- Matric / Grade 12 preferred
- Valid driver’s licence essential
- Own transport will be advantageous
- Previous customer service experience required
- Experience in car rental, hospitality, tourism, retail or premium client service will be advantageous
- Must be well-presented, reliable and customer-focused
- Strong communication and administration skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime when required
- Must be comfortable handling and driving vehicles
Duties include:
- Handling vehicle bookings, enquiries and customer follow-ups
- Assisting with professional vehicle handovers
- Completing check-out, check-in and rental documentation
- Explaining vehicle features and rental requirements to customers
- Ensuring vehicles are clean, spotless and presented to a high standard
- Assisting with off-site deliveries and collections when required
- Supporting the wider rental team during busy or quiet periods
Please note: This role requires flexibility, shift work, overtime at short notice, and early morning or late evening availability due to operational requirements.
