BUILDING FOREMAN – RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS
Durbanville, Cape Town

A leading property developer is looking for an experienced Building Foreman to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and supervision of residential building developments in the Durbanville area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who can lead teams, maintain high construction standards and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and according to programme.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and supervise daily construction activities on residential developments
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site resources
• Ensure construction work is completed according to drawings, specifications and quality standards
• Monitor project progress and maintain construction programmes
• Conduct daily site inspections and ensure quality workmanship
• Manage materials, plant and equipment on site
• Coordinate with Site Agents, Project Managers, consultants and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues promptly
• Maintain accurate site records, reports and documentation
• Drive productivity and maintain project deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years’ experience as a Building Foreman
• Strong residential construction experience essential
• Proven experience managing residential developments or multiple housing units
• Good knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site management
• Ability to read and interpret building drawings
• Strong subcontractor and labour management skills
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
• A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
• Relevant construction qualifications will be advantageous
• Cape Town / Northern Suburbs experience preferred
