Senior Foreman – Structural & Wet Trades

A leading construction contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Foreman – Structural & Wet Trades to join their team and oversee major building projects in Cape Town.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Qualified – essential
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with one of the larger 9GB construction companies
• Strong specialisation in structural construction and wet trades

Proven experience on:

• Commercial building projects
• Industrial projects
• Multi-storey developments
• Strong understanding of structural construction methodologies and wet trades
• Ability to lead and manage large teams of subcontractors and construction personnel
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Excellent planning, coordination and site management skills
• Strong leadership and communication abilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise structural and wet trade activities on site
• Coordinate subcontractors, labour and site resources
• Ensure construction is completed according to drawings, specifications and programme
• Monitor quality, productivity and workmanship
• Coordinate structural works with other trades and site teams
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
• Identify and resolve site-related challenges efficiently
• Work closely with the Site Agent and Contracts Manager to ensure successful project delivery
