FINISHING FOREMAN – NORTHERN SUBURBS, CAPE TOWN
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience as a Finishing Foreman
- Proven experience on residential and/or commercial building projects
- Strong knowledge of all finishing trades and construction processes
- Experience managing and coordinating subcontractors and labour
- Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards and snagging
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high finishing standards
- Able to work to tight programmes and deadlines
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Valid driver’s licence
- Relevant construction qualifications will be advantageous
- Manage and coordinate finishing works on site
- Supervise subcontractors and construction teams
- Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications and programme
- Monitor workmanship and quality standards
- Manage snagging and ensure defects are rectified
- Coordinate multiple trades to maintain construction progress
- Ensure materials and resources are available when required
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised site
- Report progress and issues to the Site Agent / Contracts Manager
