We are looking for an INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISING MANAGER for a Wildlife Rescue organization situated in South Africa
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum qualifications include: 5+ years of experience in fundraising or related fields; proven track record of securing major gifts from corporations, foundations, or high net-worth individuals; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities;
- Ability to travel as needed; commitment to the company mission;
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if equivalent experience exists.
- Fluency in English is mandatory;
- Candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit relationships with major donors, corporations, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Write grant proposals and reports for various funding sources.
- Plan and execute fundraising events throughout the year.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling fundraising materials such as proposals, brochures, videos, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions using CRM software or other databases.
- Steward relationships with current donors through regular communication and engagement opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and messaging.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising through ongoing research and professional development opportunities.
This is a 100% remote position and is open to anyone from any country to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong international connections and previous experience in a similar role.
