We are looking for an INTERNATIONAL FUNDRAISING MANAGER for a Wildlife Rescue organization situated in South Africa
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum qualifications include: 5+ years of experience in fundraising or related fields; proven track record of securing major gifts from corporations, foundations, or high net-worth individuals; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities;
  • Ability to travel as needed; commitment to the company mission;
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if equivalent experience exists.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory;
  • Candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
  • Identify, cultivate, and solicit relationships with major donors, corporations, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Write grant proposals and reports for various funding sources.
  • Plan and execute fundraising events throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling fundraising materials such as proposals, brochures, videos, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of all donor interactions using CRM software or other databases.
  • Steward relationships with current donors through regular communication and engagement opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to ensure alignment with organizational goals and messaging.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in fundraising through ongoing research and professional development opportunities.

This is a 100% remote position and is open to anyone from any country to apply. The ideal candidate will have strong international connections and previous experience in a similar role.
