Our Durban based client is Urgently looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatrist to support the mental health needs of our patients, working across adult and adolescent care in both hospital and outpatient environment

Minimum Requirements:

• Medical degree and full registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• Completed specialization in psychiatry (for specialist level) or eligible to practice independently (for newly qualified)
• Experience with adult and adolescent psychiatric care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments and diagnosis for adult and adolescent patients
• Deliver evidence-based treatment, including medication management and psychotherapy
• Supervise and support junior doctors minimally, ensuring quality of care
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records
• Participate in professional development and maintain knowledge of current psychiatric practices
