An established wine estate in the Cape Winelands is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within its finance team. This varied, hands-on position offers exposure to all aspects of the accounting function, from costing and reconciliations to financial reporting and audit support.

Job Description:

• Product and sales costing
• Monthly returns and reporting
• Petty cash management and daily cash-ups
• Processing journals and general ledger transactions
• Managing local and foreign debtors and creditors
• Monitoring foreign exchange transactions
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Managing insurance claims and related administration
• Assisting with the annual audit process
• Supporting accurate financial reporting and controls

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years' accounting experience
• Experience with costing and stock-related accounting
• Sage 200 experience is essential
• Easipos (POS) experience advantageous
• Exposure to foreign creditors and forex transactions
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

 Qualification:

• BCom Accounting or equivalent
• SAIPA qualification or articles
