A fast-growing renewable energy business is seeking a Junior Management Accountant to join its finance team in Sandton. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and wants exposure to management accounting, reporting, budgeting, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with financial and management reporting
• Process invoices and load supplier bills onto Xero
• Manage monthly invoicing and accounts receivable collections
• Prepare weekly and monthly reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and budget vs actual reporting
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Handle VAT, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements
• Coordinate payment processing and supporting documentation
• Liaise with auditors and provide financial information to stakeholders
• Support project accounting and inventory management
• Assist with ad hoc finance projects as required

Minimum Requirements:
 
Qualifications:

• BCom Accounting or similar qualification

 
Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years' accounting or finance experience
• Experience in a commercial environment preferred
• Candidates straight out of audit will not be considered
• Exposure to management accounting advantageous
• Experience with Xero beneficial
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach
