Plant Manager

Our client is seeking a Plant Manager to lead and manage the Production Plant and Operations function

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a Plant Manager or senior manufacturing leadership role
• Food manufacturing industry experience is essential
• Strong working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and food safety regulations
• Demonstrated experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, 5S, and cost reduction initiatives
• Proven ability to manage plant budgets, KPIs, productivity, losses, and operational performance
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams, including production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain
• Solid understanding of South African labour legislation (BCEA) and experience working with unions
• Proven experience with SAP (production planning, materials management, reporting)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data analysis capability
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to drive change, foster accountability, and support sustainability and ESG initiatives
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
