Our client in the Manufacturing industry based in Nelspruit is seeking a Planning Manager who will be responsible for the planning, outbound logistics and the stock control of finished goods

Minimum requirements:

• Matric and relevant Diploma/Degree in Logistical or Operational Management
• At least 5-6 Years experience in a similar role 
• Basic computer literacy
• Valid drivers license and own reliable transport
• Working overtime as and when required - after hours as well as weekends might be needed
  

Key responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment and compliance to OHS act
• Ensure adherence and continuous compliance to all relevant standards – ISO, Food Safety ETC
• Ensure all dispatch targets and deadlines are met – OTIF and good tons delivered
• De-bottlenecking of dispatch thus ensuring maximum output from production and eliminating stoppages due to dispatch full
• Eliminating of redundant dies and stereos
• Cost saving measures and initiatives implemented
• Efficient planning of factory ensuring maximum output
• Ensure all standards are met of external authorization bodies to ensure continuous accreditation
• Effective communication with external contractors regarding truck availability, scheduling and requirements on daily, weekly and monthly basis
• Ensuring deliveries is done in accordance with procedures and standards – no exceptions
