Our client is a leading producer of high-quality deciduous fruit, supplying both local and international markets. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Juice Production Coordinator to join their team in the Villiersdorp area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all operational activities on the production line. This role ensures that daily production runs smoothly, efficiently and according to the required product specifications. The incumbent is directly responsible for coordinating the production line team, ensuring compliance with operational procedures, and maintaining high standards of safety, hygiene, and product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all activities related to the start-up, operation, and shutdown of the production line.
• Ensure correct and timely execution of cleaning procedures, including Clean-In-Place (CIP) and sanitation steps.
• Oversee the flow of materials from preparation to bottling and labelling.
• Monitor equipment and report any faults or irregularities to the maintenance team.
• Complete all the production documentation for each batch produced.
• Oversee the wage personnel assigned to the production line.
• Allocate tasks and ensure team members follow work instructions.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance.
• Provide hands-on guidance and on-the-job training when needed.
• Ensure the product manufactured meets all quality standards and specifications provided.
• Verify that production parameters are followed consistently.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team to address deviations or non-conformances.
• Document and communicate any product-related issues immediately.
• Maintain accurate production records, including quantities produced, downtime, and line performance metrics.
• Ensure the correct materials (ingredients, packaging, labels) are available and used according to requirements.
• Report daily progress, challenges, and achievements to the Production Manager.
• Enforce company safety procedures and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) on the production line.
• Ensure staff wear appropriate PPE and follow safe work practices.
• Keep all areas around the production line clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards.

Requirements:

• Tertiary Qualification in related field would be advantageous
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in production in Juice Industry
• Experience supervising a small team
• Understanding of quality standards and production specifications
• Training in food safety, hygiene or basic machine operation will be advantageous
