About the role
We are looking for an Administration Manager to run the internal administration of a region, branch or department. You will oversee office services, keep financial records and reporting accurate, and develop and improve processes across departments. This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who combines financial discipline with strong people leadership and a customer-first attitude.
Key responsibilities
Administration and contracts
- Provide ongoing assistance and advice on contracts
- Compile budgets and advise on budgetary management
Finance
- Prepare, administer and interpret financial information
- Work with financial systems and keep accurate financial records
- Produce weekly and monthly financial forecasts
Management and compliance
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Conduct internal administration audits and take part in external audits
- Manage rate adjustments and escalations
- Manage costings and take part in rate negotiations
- Delegate to and manage administration staff, including performance management
Reporting
- Report on financial performance and budgetary matters
- Produce cash flow reports and manage cash flow
Customer liaison
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and senior management
Requirements
Qualifications (essential)
- Advanced Certificate (NQF Level 5)
- Diploma (NQF Level 6)
- Study field: Management Sciences (Office Administration)
Experience
- Up to 5 years in support services or administration, including supervising or overseeing staff
- Experience negotiating with customers or suppliers on price, contracts or services
- Experience explaining products, services or systems to internal and external clients, and drawing up project briefs
