We are seeking a dedicated and technically experienced Trade Toolmaker to support our clients' manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate, whether formally qualified or with extensive hands-on experience, will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and repair of precision tools and dies used in our production processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Formal qualification in Toolmaking or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Extensive technical experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machining equipment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, manufacture, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures for production.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality tools.
- Operate and maintain various manual and CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop tooling solutions.
- Ensure all tools and dies meet industry standards and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of tooling maintenance and modifications.
- Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environment.
