About the Opportunity

A well-established electrical and renewable energy services provider in Kensington, western cape  is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join its growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, with a strong focus on electrical maintenance, renewable energy systems, and backup power solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Install, commission, and maintain solar PV and hybrid inverter systems.
• Conduct DB board upgrades, electrical installations, rewiring, and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out inspections, testing, and ensure compliance with applicable electrical standards. Assist with backup power and energy storage solutions.
• Participate in an after-hours standby and emergency call-out roster when required.
• Deliver professional service and technical support to clients on site

Minimum requirements

• Trade Tested Electrician (Essential)
• Valid Wiremans Licence (Single Phase, Three Phase or Installation Electrician)
• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience.
• Proven experience with solar PV installations and hybrid inverter systems.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities.
• Solid understanding of electrical compliance and safety standards.
• Valid Code 8 Drivers Licence.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project

Highly Advantageous
PV GreenCard Certification
Red Seal Trade Certificate
Experience with SunSynk, Deye, Victron, or similar inverter platforms.
Commercial and industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Experience with battery storage and energy management systems.
