About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Consultant (Expert) with extensive financial accounting knowledge and practical SAP FI / CO / MM experience to join a global technology environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation, optimisation and rollout of SAP Finance solutions across international markets, with a particular focus on Inventory Accounting and Warranty Finance.
This opportunity is suited to a finance professional who combines strong accounting expertise with SAP functional knowledge, business process design, system implementation and stakeholder management.

Essential Requirements

• BCom Degree in Accounting – Mandatory.
• In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, processes and financial controls.
• Extensive practical experience in Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Investment Accounting and Cost Accounting.
• Strong IT knowledge and hands-on experience working with SAP Finance (FI / CO / MM), at least at key-user level.
• Solid understanding of SAP financial processes and integration between Finance, Controlling and Materials Management.
• Practical experience in business process analysis, process design and process improvement.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate business and financial requirements into functional system requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver within a global, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Finance Implementation and Rollouts

• Coordinate and support SAP Finance template rollouts across different international markets.
• Ensure SAP Finance solutions are implemented, configured, tested and aligned with business requirements.
• Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Inventory Accounting and Warranty Finance processes.
• Maintain an overview of relevant business processes, system structures, integrations and dependencies.
• Ensure consistency and harmonisation of financial processes across different markets and SAP environments.

Business Process Design and Functional Analysis

• Conduct and facilitate FIT/GAP and Fit-to-Template workshops with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Analyse existing finance processes, identify gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Gather, document and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Maintain accurate process documentation, including documentation within SAP Signavio.
• Define and refine user stories and ensure that functional requirements meet business expectations.
• Coordinate with technical experts to resolve functional and integration-related challenges.

Testing, Migration and Go-Live Support

• Support test planning, test case preparation and testing activities.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assist with defect identification, tracking and resolution.
• Facilitate data migration mapping workshops and ensure mapping requirements are finalised.
• Coordinate master data collection and SAP configuration requirements.
• Support cutover planning, go-live preparation and post-implementation stabilisation.
• Ensure appropriate training and knowledge transfer to business users.
• Monitor and coordinate resolution of system defects and process-related issues.

Stakeholder and Project Coordination

• Collaborate with international business teams, SAP functional consultants, developers and other stakeholders.
• Support Agile sprint planning, backlog refinement and rollout activities.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure delivery of agreed functionalities.
• Maintain accurate functional documentation and progress reporting.
• Take ownership of assigned finance processes and ensure successful delivery.

Highly Advantageous Experience

• Experience with global SAP template rollouts and international SAP implementation projects.
• Strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience, particularly Finance implementations and migrations.
• SAP functional consulting experience in FI, CO and MM.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Intelligence (BI) and Business Warehouse (BW).
• Experience using SAP Signavio for business process modelling and documentation.
• Practical experience in test case design, test planning and test execution.
• Experience with change management, project management and stakeholder coordination.
• German language proficiency.

Qualifications and Certifications

• BCom in Accounting – Minimum mandatory qualification.
• Postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification preferred.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or MBA – Highly advantageous.
• SAP certification in FI / CO / MM – Advantageous.
