Opportunity Available!! Our leading client in the FMCG Sector is looking to employ a Senior Group Quality Manager to join their dynamic team in East London.
Job Description: 

Quality Assurance and Control:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures across both manufacturing plants.
  • Oversee quality control processes at every stage of production, from raw material sourcing to finished product packaging.
 
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all products and processes comply with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.
  • Prepare for and lead regulatory audits and inspections, ensuring both plants meet required standards.
 
 Quality Systems Management:
  • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, HACCP).
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
 
Continuous Improvement:
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
  • Utilize data and metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
 
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and mentor quality assurance teams at both manufacturing plants.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to ensure staff are knowledgeable about quality standards and best practices.
 
Supplier Quality Management:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the consistent quality of raw materials and ingredients.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations.
 
Customer Feedback and Complaint Management:
  • Investigate and address customer complaints related to product quality.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
 
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks to product quality and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Implement robust food safety and quality control measures to prevent contamination and ensure product safety.
 
Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities and results.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management on quality performance and improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a quality management role within the food manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, ISO).
  • Proven track record of managing quality assurance across multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  • Certification in Quality Management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing) is a plus.
