Site Engineer -  Luxury Residential Development | Cape Town CBD
Be part of one of Cape Town's landmark residential developments.

Our client, a well-established building contractor, is seeking a Site Engineer to join the construction team delivering an exciting 9-storey luxury residential development comprising 151 premium apartments with high-end finishes, retail space, parking facilities, and world-class amenities in the heart of Cape Town.

The project offers exposure to complex reinforced concrete structures, luxury finishes, and a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Contracts Manager and Site Management team with the successful delivery of the project.
  • Interpret and coordinate construction drawings and technical information.
  • Prepare and monitor short-term construction programmes.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and the professional team.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and monitor site progress.
  • Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout construction.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and plant.
  • Monitor health & safety compliance and site documentation.
  • Prepare site reports, progress updates, and technical records.
  • Identify construction risks and proactively resolve site issues.
  • Minimum Requirements
  • BTech, BSc, National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 2-5 years' experience on large commercial or residential building projects.
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures and finishing trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Excellent planning, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate with MS Office. Knowledge of CCS Candy or BuildSmart will be advantageous.
  • Valid driver's licence.
