Quantity Surveyor (Remote) – Commercial Building Projects | Madagascar & Palm Island
An established construction company delivering major commercial building projects in Madagascar is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in a fully remote capacity.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional who can manage project costs, contractual matters, procurement, and financial reporting while collaborating closely with site teams and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets and tender documentation.
  • Manage project costs from inception through to final account.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate appointments.
  • Prepare monthly valuations, cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
  • Assess and certify subcontractor payment claims.
  • Identify and manage variations, claims and contractual risks.
  • Monitor project expenditure against budget.
  • Liaise remotely with project managers, site teams and consultants.
  • Ensure commercial objectives are achieved throughout the project lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
  • 5+ years' experience on commercial building projects.
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC and/or JBCC contracts.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying software.
  • Stable internet connection and suitable home office environment.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting international project teams.
