Are you a hands-on and experienced hospitality professional, ready to manage a remote hotel on the Wild Coast?

Our client requires someone who thrives in an off-the-grid, bush environment and can confidently handle both daily operations and problem-solving independently.

The ideal candidate is resilient, resourceful, and adaptable, with the ability to take ownership and make a real impact. Accommodation and meals are provided.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric, Proven experience in hospitality, lodge, or hotel management
  • Strong operational and leadership skills, with the ability to take full ownership of a property
  • A hands-on approach with the willingness to be involved in all aspects of the operation
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions without constant supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a practical, solutions-driven mindset
  • Experience in remote, bush, or off-grid environments will be highly advantageous
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance, stock control, and food service operations
  • Strong communication and guest relations skills
  • High level of resilience, adaptability, and emotional maturity
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage unexpected challenges
  • Sober habits and reliability are essential
  • Valid driver’s license (advantageous, especially for remote access)
 
DUTIES
  • Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient running
  • Deliver and maintain a high standard of guest experience and service
  • Manage kitchen and food service operations, including basic menu planning and stock control
  • Handle procurement and inventory, ensuring supplies are effectively managed in a remote setting
  • Coordinate and oversee basic maintenance and repairs, using available resources creatively
  • Supervise and support any on-site staff or service providers
  • Manage bookings, check-ins, and guest communications
  • Monitor and control costs and operational expenses
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement practical solutions
  • Ensure the property is maintained to a clean, safe, and welcoming standard at all times
  • Handle unexpected challenges and emergencies with a calm, solutions-driven approach
 
Salary: R negotiable dependent on experience
