A remote safari lodge is seeking a dedicated and hardworking 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 to join their established guiding team.

This role suits an Apprentice Trails Guide (or higher) with a genuine passion for the bush and an ethical approach to guiding, who is ready to integrate into a substantial team and contribute wherever needed across the operation. 

Core Criteria:

• NQF2 or higher FGASA qualification
• First Aid qualified
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• SAPS competency certificate for manually operated rifle, for business purposes
• Apprentice trails guide qualification or higher (VPDA)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
• Ethical, conservation-minded approach to guiding and nature
• Team player able to integrate smoothly into a guiding team of 12–15
• Willingness to assist with broader lodge operations as needed

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Conduct game drives and guided walks for guests in line with lodge and safety standards
• Carry out armed walking trails where qualified to do so
• Maintain rifle competency and adhere to all firearm safety protocols
• Deliver engaging, informative, and safe guest experiences in the bush
• Work collaboratively within a large guiding team, supporting colleagues as required
• Assist with general lodge operational duties outside of guiding activities
• Uphold high standards of guest care, safety, and environmental ethics at all times

On Offer:

• Beginning salary of R7,500 per month, negotiable depending on experience

• 6 days on / 2 days off work cycle
