A remote safari lodge is seeking a dedicated and hardworking 𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗟𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 to join their established guiding team.
This role suits an Apprentice Trails Guide (or higher) with a genuine passion for the bush and an ethical approach to guiding, who is ready to integrate into a substantial team and contribute wherever needed across the operation.
Core Criteria:
- NQF2 or higher FGASA qualification
- First Aid qualified
- Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
- SAPS competency certificate for manually operated rifle, for business purposes
- Apprentice trails guide qualification or higher (VPDA)
- Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
- Ethical, conservation-minded approach to guiding and nature
- Team player able to integrate smoothly into a guiding team of 12–15
- Willingness to assist with broader lodge operations as needed
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Conduct game drives and guided walks for guests in line with lodge and safety standards
- Carry out armed walking trails where qualified to do so
- Maintain rifle competency and adhere to all firearm safety protocols
- Deliver engaging, informative, and safe guest experiences in the bush
- Work collaboratively within a large guiding team, supporting colleagues as required
- Assist with general lodge operational duties outside of guiding activities
- Uphold high standards of guest care, safety, and environmental ethics at all times
On Offer:
- Beginning salary of R7,500 per month, negotiable depending on experience

- 6 days on / 2 days off work cycle
