A remote collection of private lodges in the Seychelles' is seeking an experienced PEOPLE & LEARNING MANAGER to join their team at group level
This is a strategic, board-facing role rather than a hands-on HR administration position. • Demonstrated ability to build or improve HR administrative systems, policies and processes from the ground up
  • Comfortable working at board level while supporting and guiding on-site HR teams, rather than replacing them
  • Sound understanding of employment law and HR best practice, with an advantage for candidates familiar with multi-jurisdiction or remote-island operating contexts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring different stakeholders onto the same page
  • Highly organised, self-directed, and comfortable operating with a good degree of autonomy
  • Willing and able to live on a remote private island for the duration of the contract
Core Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the board and senior leadership to shape people and learning strategy across the group
  • Work closely with local HR teams to keep administrative processes consistent, compliant and properly documented across all properties
  • Design and roll out the systems, policies and frameworks needed to support the group through its current growth phase
  • Oversee learning and development planning, making sure training keeps pace as the group expands
  • Guide and support local HR functions without absorbing their day-to-day responsibilities
  • Track and report on people-related metrics and initiatives to the board
  • Help standardise HR documentation, processes and reporting across a multi-property, multi-jurisdiction operation
On Offer:
  • Salary: USD 2,500 gross per month, reviewed periodically
  • Eligible to participate in the group's tips and service charge distribution scheme
  • 24-month fixed-term contract with a 3-month probation period
  • Single-status, live-in position: single-occupancy accommodation, all meals, and access to the on-site staff shop
  • Return international flight at the start and end of contract, plus a domestic flight to the assigned island, and one additional pass-leave flight during the term
  • Group medical insurance, including medical evacuation cover
  • Work permit sponsored and processed by the company
  • Annual leave accrued at 21 days per year, plus sick leave in line with Seychelles law
  • One rostered day off per week (60-hour, 6-day working week, typical of remote-island resort operations)
