Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Manager.
Requirements:
About:
The Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating every aspect of a project being done – from the planning until completion of the project.
Responsibilities of the Contracts manager will also include: supervising the teams and sub-contractors used for each project to ensure optimal efficiency and high-quality service at all times.
Other responsibilities also include assisting with ordering and obtaining supplies, scheduling equipment maintenance as needed, and managing employees. The Contracts Manager will also be required to have efficient Health and Safety training and understanding.
Salary:
- Experience with sheet metal essential
- Experience in lagging, insulation & cladding will be beneficial
- Higher education in construction management/building studies, quantity surveying or related
- Health & Safety Training essential
- Computer literate
- Industrial Relations Skills ( handling staff effectively, discipline, etc)
- Be able to understand and communicate in English and Afrikaans
- Proven experience of at least 3+ years working as a Contracts Manager / Supervisor or related management experience, especially in the Construction Industry
- Experience in working with big teams
- Health and Safety Management experience
- Experience in interpreting engineering plans and drawings
- Scaffolding Erecting experience (advantageous)
- Working at Heights Experience (advantageous)
